After the Christian conquest of the lands occupied until then by the Muslims, San Clemente was converted. in administrative center of all the Mancha conquense, reaching to have a corregimiento of its own that worked. in the historical period comprised between the Catholic Kings and Philip II. Proof of all this is reflected in the urban endowment with which it was enriched. Its point is the Plaza Mayor.
The scene is dominated by the old portico Town Hall, whose interior contains the Museum of graphic work of the Antonio Perez Foundation, which houses a collection of contemporary art with works by artists such as Saura, Feito or Lucebert. In the same square, but in a somewhat displaced position, is the parish church of the fifteenth century, with valuable altarpieces inside.
